TO ALL MY WONDERFUL FRIENDS

We all gather once again, putting the Christmas Tree up,
decorating it, all the ornament's put around the house,
gift's being bought, trying to keep secrets from each other
so no one finds out what the other one bought.
SO MUCH FUN

Making the house smell nice with different candle's,
the smell from the tree, just that Christmas smell,
but most that baking smell... of cookies, pies, cakes.
SO MUCH FUN

These holiday's always reminds us of our ANGEL'S,
and why wouldn't it, those wonderful memories, even when they were younger.
Helping you with everything, or at least trying to.
SO MUCH FUN
I am so sorry to those Moms who didn't get a chance
to have those younger years with your ANGEL'S.

Having my daughter Amy when Lee was ten, he had the fun twice,
going through all that fun stuff with Amy.
Even when they were older, like most kids, and they don't have to be kids either,
they smell, shake, everything but open the gifts
SO MUCH FUN

We remember everything about our ANGEL'S,
myself I go back to Lee's younger years a lot, I don't know why.
Because I do, when it comes time to do a page, his younger years pop into my mind,
I have done a few over the past eight years, so here we are again.
Apart from many special toys, stuffed animals, there was a brown teddy
he had from the age of two, he took that teddy everywhere,
carried it everywhere, from in his mouth to strapping him into a car seat.
SO MUCH FUN THEN

Not so much fun now, as all I have left are the memories,
wonderful yes, I just wished my ANGEL was here with his teddy.
I LOVE YOU SO MUCH MY ANGEL

This was one of my favorite photo's of when he sat up on his own,
and with those big eyes just looked up when I called Lee, PERFECT.

He was playing with his toy phone, If I said talk on the phone he would hold it to his ear, camera ready,
just as I was going to say talk on the phone, he dropped the phone, I clicked, OH BOY

Again he was playing with his own camera, I was just about to say Lee,
what does he pick up, a flash to my camera, he knew what it was,
OH SO SMART

This was his first photo taken at day care,
he use to squish his face like this sometimes, SO CHEEKY

His grade 6 class photo, his hair really dark now,
and those beautiful green eyes, SO HANDSOME

His grad photo from high school, look at the teddy, even he looks pooped,
and probably saying, THANK GOODNESS THAT'S OVER WITH

This photo was taken at Amy's communion, he was always a jeans and shirt guy,
so this photo in many ways is very special to me, AGAIN OH SO HANDSOME

He had been ill for almost a year in this photo, he asked if we could go fishing,
so we went to a cottage, Amy and Lee went fishing early one morning,
Amy took this photo, SUCH A GOOD TIME WE HAD

Especially when he was younger, I didn't go anywhere without my camera,
so many photo's, the amount of photo's that I do have, I could go and never stop.
THIS ONE A COLLAGE OF A BEAUTIFUL BABY, CHILD AND ADULT
WONDERFUL MEMORIES.

LEE'S BROWN TEDDY

Lee had this Brown Teddy Bear
For so long, he wouldn't give it up
And when it started falling apart
It just about broke his heart

His big brown eyes were falling off
His nose too was falling down
It made Lee cry to look at him
His Teddy so soft and brown

A big hole showed the stuffing
It was coming out from one side
He hugged on to him so gently
So the hole didn't get more wide

When Lee showed me the Teddy
I said I will try and fix him like new
I sewed his nose back real tight
His mouth was even smiling too

Even his eyes were put back on
Just like they use to be
So when Lee sat and played with him
He said Mommy, Teddy's looking at me

Lee helped me push the stuffing in
Then I sewed him back up with thread
I hadn't seen Lee so happy for so long
That night he had Teddy back in his bed
I WILL LOVE YOU NOW AND FOR ETERNITY

Thank You Patti And ANGEL Dustin

It was when my ANGEL Lee got a little older, he realized he had some obstacles in his way, which felt like a knife cutting through his heart, being that they included his biological Father, his work that he was so Talented at, but most of all his illness. I still remember him saying it now, and always will, "Mom I wished I was a bird instead, and be able to fly free" By saying that I for sure knew what he meant. He even wrote a poem called "Bird" I would like to share with you all. Ever since he has left me, whenever I see a dove it reminds me very much of him, so that is why
my ornament is a dove with my ANGEL there too.

BIRD

I wish I'd been born a Bird instead
I could spread my wings and fly
I wouldn't have to worry or think
I'd never have to wonder why

I'd soar above the sad and angry Folk Below
Who seem to relish in the thought Of a greedy hateful show

Humanity's becoming a troubled child
Such a spoiled little brat
Preaching from it's rotten stage
Boasting this or that

The Sons and Daughters of the earth
Who've made a mess of things
Should become Pupils of the Bird
Who simply flies around and sings

Birds don't pillage or rape the land
They never hate or fight
They never argue endlessly
About who is wrong or right

As I look around this damaged world
Is it any wonder why
That all I wanted out of life
Was to be a Bird and Fly
